Since, the net steam draw rate has gone up, the net flow of water to the boiler needs to increase, because the total mass of water in the boiler is falling.
And when water comes into contact with the super hot heat exchanger, steam bubbles are created, which then erupt noisily. Water temperature on boiler is set too high. Setting your boiler to a very high temperature can overheat the water, causing steam bubbles.
